Herrera, 28, is out of contract in the summer and he is still yet to pen an extension, which has opened the door to a departure.Both Arsenal and Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for the Mexico international, who has impressed in the Portuguese top flight since arriving from Pachuca in 2013.But there is a new front-runner in a race to land him at the end of the season – Inter Milan.According to Sport Italia, the San Siro club are already in discussions about a possible swoop which could come via a pre-contract agreement in the new year or a cash switch during the transfer window. There is still time for either Arsenal or Spurs to make their move but Inter are currently considered in pole position to complete a deal for the 28-year-old.
