He was taken to The James Cook University Hospital before being discharged on Saturday evening.Ian Harte, the former Leeds defender, confirmed Clarke’s release on social media platform Twitter.“Big thanks to the Middlesbrough medical team and a special mention to Leeds United’s Rob Price [Head of Medicine and Performance] for today,” Harte wrote. “Jack has left the hospital now happy and smiling. Hopefully back on the pitch very soon.“And also a big thanks to everyone involved with James Cook hospital the staff have been brilliant!!!”Angus Kinnear, Leeds’ chief executive, released on Sunday a statement providing an update to Clarke’s situation.It was confirmed the teenager will not train for the rest of the week following his illness.Jack has had messages from football fans from every club you can imagine and we all really appreciate it,” Kinnear said.Jack spent the night under the supervision of the medical staff from the club and he will return home today.He will undergo some more tests this week and everything is looking well, but he wont train for the rest of the week.In the meantime we would like to thank everyone who has sent well wishes and once again thank Middlesbrough Football Club for all they did for Jack.Clarke made his professional debut last October and has since gone on to make 16 appearances for Leeds in all competitions, scoring two goals and creating a further two. He has earned rave reviews for his performances as Leeds fight to win promotion to the Premier League.
