In the fourth minute of added time, Diomande fired in from 12 yards out to send the LAFC fans wild. The former Hull City striker ran over to the home fans to celebrate and an over-exuberant supporter tipped a beer over his head. The scenes after the winner were incredible with a number of black flares let off in the packed stand.Sporting Kansas City had taken the lead in the match with a Krisztian Nemeth goal after 16 minutes.LAFC equalised through Diego Rossi shortly after half-time.Kansas had Roger Espinoza sent off six minutes from time before Diomande scored the winner. Head coach Bob Bradley said: I dont think we showed our best in the hardest games of last year. Tonight is a positive for us in that respect.Part of being a good team is your mentality and your ability in hard games to have resiliency. That was a game where we put the most together from start to finish. Thats the sign of a team going in the right direction.
